The Portal 2 Mod for Minecraft Pocket Edition is very similar to Portal mods you see for the PC version of the game. It adds a simple portal gun which can be used to open and close portals, and those portals can be used to move great distances in the blink of an eye. One of the best parts about the portal gun is that you can open a portal in your home, go do all your resource gathering and adventuring for the day, then just open the opposite portal and be home in a second. But there are other uses for this tool too.
Besides the iconic gun, the Portal 2 Mod also adds a few other pieces of Portal to Minecraft, like the Gravity Gun which can be used to tether objects and then swing them around. There are long fall boots for saving you if you plummet off a cliff or into a ravine, as well as special jumper shoes that increase your jump height significantly. If you were looking for a mod which brought many aspects of Portal to MCPE, well beyond just the gun, then you might be really happy with this particular mod.
The Portal 2 Mod for MCPE also adds a couple of music discs with songs from the game. These are a nice extra touch, but not really necessary to enjoying all the other aspects of the mod. Turrets are also included, and you can use these to great effect to guard your home, farm and other important locations around your Minecraft world. Because the tools included in this mod will invariably change the way you play Minecraft, purists will want to stay away from the Portal 2 Mod. For everyone else, this might be the best Portal mod for Pocket Edition right now.
